How do I reset a RedPed?
In general, the e-bike must be switched on during the reset process. Depending on the module, different reset methods are available.
Connect a reset switch and press it at least 10 times within 10 seconds, at intervals of approximately 0.5 to 1.0 seconds.
It is best to keep pressing continuously until the e-bike display shows 1 km as the distance or the module is found in the app again.
As an alternative to the reset switch, you can also use a Phillips screwdriver.
Connect the included reset cable and wait at least 20 seconds.
Which error codes does Bosch display when tuning is detected?
When the Bosch system detects manipulation, the motor noticeably reduces its power and switches to limp mode.
How do I exit Bosch limp mode?
The procedure depends on how often the tuning has already been detected.
How can I avoid tuning detection on Bosch motors?
To reduce the risk of limp mode, we recommend setting a maximum speed of 33.0 km/h in the RedPed app.
Higher speeds are technically possible. However, settings above 33.0 km/h are used at your own risk.
What does the W292 error mean on Shimano EP6 and EP801?
The EP6 and EP801 motors feature integrated tuning detection.
W292 is displayed while riding and accompanied by an audible signal.
However, the error can also occur if no signal is received from the speed sensor and the speed remains at 0 km/h when setting off. In this case, there may be a problem with the magnet, or the tuning chip may be defective.
What happens with the Shimano E295 and E299 errors?
If the initial W292 error is ignored, the following error occurs: E295.
