This adapter connects the compatible RedPed 2s module directly to the e-bike's 14V connection.
IMPORTANT
The 14V connection must be activated
The connection is not activated ex works on all e-bikes. If no voltage is present, it can be activated by a specialist workshop.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
Check the 14V connection
Switch on the e-bike and check whether voltage is present at the connection.
Multimeter
Set the multimeter to direct voltage (DC or V=) and measure at the contacts. When the connection is active, approximately 14V will be displayed.
14V incandescent bulb
Alternatively, a simple 14V incandescent bulb can be connected. If it lights up, the connection is active.
0V or lamp stays off?
The 14V connection must then be activated by a specialist workshop.
OPERATION
Automatic switching on and off
The RedPed 2s module automatically switches on and off together with the e-bike.
Battery level below 10%
If the battery charge drops below 10%, the 14V connection is deactivated. This also switches off the module, and the speed display on the e-bike remains at 0 km/h.
