14V Connection Adapter for Shimano EP6 EP801

Important Compatibility Notes

This adapter connects your RedPed 2s module directly to the 14V port of your e-bike with an EP6/EP801 motor.

The 14V port is not activated by default on all e-bikes. If it is not active on yours, it can be easily enabled by a specialist workshop.

Here's how you can check if the port is active yourself:
Turn on your e-bike and test the port using one of the following methods:

• With a multimeter: Set your multimeter to DC voltage (DC or V=). When you hold the test leads to the contacts of the port, the device should show approx. 14V.
• With an incandescent bulb: Connect a simple 14V incandescent bulb (e.g., from automotive supplies) to the port. If the port is active, the bulb will light up.

Advantages of the Adapter

The RedPed module switches on and off automatically with your e-bike.

Note on Operation

If your e-bike's battery charge drops below 10%, the power supply to the 14V port and thus also to the module will be deactivated. The speed on the e-bike display will then remain at 0 km/h. Since motor assistance is no longer available at this battery level anyway, this has no practical impact on riding behavior.
