Motors: Compatible with Shimano EP6 and EP801 motors.

Firmware: The module works with all firmware versions of the mentioned motors.

Display: The module is generally compatible with all displays.

Anti-tuning: The motors have tuning detection.

Functions & restrictions

  • Speed & distance: Display of actual values in the app
  • Tuning activation: Via app, speed, light button, or magnet
  • Tuning timer: Automatically deactivates after set time when stationary
  • Invisible module: Invisible in the app, visible again with light button or speed
  • Route tracking: Track route in the app and display on map

Restrictions for EP6 / EP801 motor

  • Maximum speed: Adjustable in the RedPed app (15–33 km/h), up to 45 km/h at your own risk.
  • Speed as a decimal on the e-bike display is not available.
  • Tuning activation on the e-bike display is not available.
  • Coasting is not available

Power supply

The RedPed module can be powered in two ways. The respective installation instructions can be found as videos in the options below.

OPTION A: Di2 connection

The module is connected directly via the Di2 port. No additional adapter is required. Note, however, that the module is permanently powered in this variant—even when the e-bike is turned off.

OPTION B: 14V connection

This variant requires the supplied RedPed adapter. The advantage: The module is only active when the 14V output on the motor is activated. Check with the supplied test lamp before installation.

Warning: Connect the 14V adapter only as shown in the video. Incorrect connection can damage your e-bike.
