RedPed 3 for Bosch BES2 Gen2-Gen4 Tuning Module E-Bike (NOT Bosch Smart)

Compatibility

Compatibility: The module is compatible with BES2 Bosch motors Gen2, Gen3, and Gen4 as well as with all displays and firmware versions.

Important note on tuning detection:

• Gen2 Motors: These motors have no tuning detection.
• Gen3 Motors: Tuning detection applies from firmware version 1.8.4.0.
• Gen4 Motors: These have tuning detection on all firmware versions.

Therefore, we recommend setting the maximum speed to only up to 33 km/h. However, tuning can be unlocked at your own risk up to 45 km/h.

Functions

• App Data: Displays speed, rider power, battery power, rider torque, RPM, KCAL, battery cycles, riding time, range, and distance in the RedPed App
• Actual Speed: Displayed directly on the e-bike display (Speed Offset: Only the speed on the e-bike display is reduced)
• Maximum Speed: Adjustable in the RedPed App (15 to 33 km/h, after unlocking up to 45 km/h)
• Tuning Activation: Conveniently via a control unit button combination
• Tuning Timer & Run-on: Tuning deactivates after the set time while stationary, missing kilometers are automatically added
• Special Modes: Workshop Mode (data between motor and display is not manipulated) and Troll Mode (e-bike switches off or restarts without app connection)
• Invisible Module: Can be made invisible in the app and visible again via key combination
• Route Tracking: The route can be tracked in the app and displayed on the map
